Feel the Forces in this military-themed special of the spandex spectacle. Hosted by Ian Wright and Kirsty Gallacher, the Army, RAF and Navy have invaded the arena and will compete against one another to earn top-dog status; rivalry between Her Majesty's armed forces is rife.
Flying the flag for Britain's female fighters, RAF Sergeant Karen Martin, 33, from Derby, launches her attack on Army Captain Jenny Hands, 26, from Birmingham. Will she take flight or nosedive out of the David and Goliath contest? Marching onto the men's camp, McCoy Turner, 25, from HMS Southampton goes head to head with Army PT Core Sergeant James Lavelle, 27, from Manchester. Will he sink or swim?
These Contenders have certainly earned their stripes and proved their military mettle, but can they pull rank on the Gladiators, Sky1's very own warriors? In their toughest challenge yet, the pressure is on for Spartan, Tornado, Enigma, Tempest et al to perform. After all, these are no ordinary citizens; they're doing battle with the big boys now. Who will win the war?
Breathless, barnstorming action from the get-go, this frontline special sees the Contenders put up the fiercest of fights on Hang Tough, Gauntlet, Duel and Powerball, and some of the tantrum-prone Gladiators are not happy. In addition, enjoy the Eliminators, the undoubted highlight of the entire series.
