INTERVIEW
Q: "How did the Finnish domestic Contenders compare to those at the International series?"
Terminator: "As you know the Finnish people are famous about SISU, which means that 'you never give up'. From that point of view I say that the fights were almost as hard as the fights in International level. The only difference I saw was that the Contenders were very skillful in all Events."
Q: "How come Finland did not return for the second series of International Gladiators, were you disappointed that you didn't get the chance to comeback?"
Terminator: "Well, I did not expect that to happen... so I was not disappointed. But I am still in great shape and you never know when the challange is there and I am ready to jump in that position again. But as my friend Arnold says - I'll be back!"
Q: "Which International Gladiators did u really get on well with?"
Terminator: "I became a good friend with Wolf and the American hero Nitro. We did have good laughs together and I still have some photos as a memory."
Q: "Have you ever had any regrets about getting your Terminator tattoo?"
Terminator: "No! The tattoo was a gift from my friend and Gladiaattorit producer Markus Selin. It's a great memory to me about the Gladiator times and I am very committed to keep my body in shape. Could you imagine a skinny Terminator?"
Q: "Have you met any of other Finnish Gladiators since the show stopped?"
Terminator: "Actually we have drifted apart somehow. I still have contact with Viking, Barbarian and Flash."
Q: "What do you think was your best attribute as Gladiator?"
Terminator: "Smart."
Q: "What do you think of the International Gladiators series, as compared to the Finnish domestic series?"
Terminator: "The whole show was about 10 times bigger in the International, but the fans were more crazy in Finland. I loved the atmosphere in Birmingham and the organisation worked perfectly."
Q: "Do you still train?"
Terminator: "I still compete in different events. In summer times I run maratons and take part in 5-6 hours long rowing competitions. In winter I train mostly powerlifing. I weight in summers about 100 kilos and in wintertime about 110kg. So I train aproximately 5-6 times in week."
Q: "How did you become a Gladiator and get the name Terminator?"
Terminator: "Renny Harlin who is well-known film producer was responsible to my name Terminator. He said when we stood in the line before the first shootings: "Mikko, you look like Arnold. So your name is Terminator". I must say that was one very memorable moments in my life."
Q: "If you could face any other person on The Duel, who would it be and why?"
Terminator: "I would like to face Wolf - my friend. I feel that The Duel was so much fun and I know that Mr Wolfman was also very good in that. So, I'm interested to know who would win the game."
Q: "Finally, what are you doing nowadays and do you have a message to any of your fans?"
Terminator: "I would like to thank you all being my fan and I hope that you also keep your muscles in body and soul in shape. Keep on training and have a wonderful life. Remember: I'll be BACK - one day."
