Hunter, James Crossley

INTRODUCTION

Paul from the Gladiators Zone spoke exclusively to UK Gladiator Hunter, James Crossley.

INTERVIEW

Q: "How did it feel to be crowned 'The Ultimate Gladiator'?"

Hunter: "Great. I've been training to be a Gladiator for 7 years. Not a bodybuilder, not an athlete, just a Gladiator. All the work paid off and it just feels like the ultimate prize."

Q: "What are you planning to do now Gladiators has finished?"

Hunter: "TV Presenting, I've just finished a men's magazine show called 'Peak Performance'. I'm also looking to open a restaurant in London."

Q: "Will you still keep up your high standard of training that you did in Gladiators?"

Hunter: "No, training for Glads was very specific. Climbing, boxing and pushing cars took up a lot of time! I'm going to train just 3/4 times per week now with mainly weights and squash."

Q: "Will you miss Gladiators, and did you have a good time?"

Hunter: "Yes, Glads was great fun. I loved competing and training hard. I enjoyed lots of travelling but it did have to end eventually."

Q: "How did it feel to face your fellow team mates in 'The Battle of the Giants'?"

Hunter: "We were all against it as first, we didn't want the Glads to look bad, but in the end we thought it might make for a fun show. Plus the £10,000 was a nice bonus for the winner. I gave £1,000 each to the other male Glads who competed against me."

Q: "Do you think that UK Gladiators will return in the future and would you want to be part of it?"

Hunter: "No, it won't return. It will probably be repeated in 10 years and become a cult show again. I will be fat and bald by then!"

Q: "If you could face any person in the world on the Duel, who would you want to face and why?"

Hunter: "Lennox Lewis. He is the World Champion at my favourite sport."

Q: "What has been your most memorable moment from Gladiators?"

Hunter: "Winning the Ultimate Gladiator title, my first ever Duel, Pole-Axe with 2Scoops and Phil Norman and International Gladiators - 44 awesome Gladiators at one time!"

Q: "Will you keep in touch with any of the Gladiators now the show has finished?"

Hunter: "I'm great friends with Ace, Rhino and Cobra. I'll see them all the time."

Q: "Which Gladiators show in the World do you think is the Ultimate series?"

Hunter: "The Ashes for me was the best when we filmed it in Australia. It was such great fun and we were all well looked after."
