MALE GLADIATORS
HAWK
LEE REHERMAN
Hawk joined the team in the 1993 season. A natural on Tilt, and a great team player in Powerball, Hawk was selected to compete in the International Gladiators series. He stayed with the show and went on to compete in the Orlando Live shows. Since then, Hawk has appeared in numerous TV shows and films including 'Last Action Hero' alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. He now hosts 'The Arena' on the G4 channel.
LASER
JIM STARR
Laser joined the show at the start of the second half of the first season. His past as an All-American linebacker for the Montana State University made him an expert in Powerball and Pyramid. When fellow Gladiator Gemini left the show, Laser resumed the role of Team Captain and stayed with the show until the very end. Laser is now a member of the Apex fitness group specialising in dietary supplements.
LIGHTNING
RON FOSTER
Lightning was a reserve Gladiator. As a sportsman he has competed in the National Football League as part of the LA Raiders and San Diego Chargers. He also appeared as a 'Klingon' for the long standing sci-fi show 'Star Trek' and has had parts in various films such as 'Batman Forever' and 'Vampire in Brooklyn'.
MALIBU
DERON McBEE
Malibu was one of the orginal Gladiators, he debuted in the first half of the first season and was adept at all the Events. His TV career only lasted for half of the season due to a injury he received during Human Cannonball. He later went on to compete in the Live Tour shows in 1992. Malibu can now be seen in many films including 'Mortal Kombat' and 'Batman Forever'. He also has appeared in many TV shows including 'Cybill', 'Baywatch Nights' and 'Roswell'.
NITRO
DANIEL LEE CLARK
Nitro was one of the original Gladiators and stayed with the show for four years. He then took a break from the Arena before returning to the last series as a replacement host for the departed Lisa Malosky. He dominated most of the Events especially Hang Tough where he held a near-perfect record. Since the end of the show, Nitro has appeared in many TV shows and films such as 'Death Becomes Her' alongside Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. Nitro returned to the American Gladiator universe on March 31, when he hosted a marathon of American Gladiators on the U.S. version of ESPN Classic.
QUAKE
SEAN MALONEY
Quake was working as a general admin clerk in the offices of the Orlando Live shows, when he was spotted and asked to try out for a Gladiator role. He took the postion and became a worthy Gladiator, beating the Contenders in his favourite event Duel. His Gladiator career lasted for two years and during filming, he met fellow Gladiator Flame, who he is now married.
