Why did you decide you wanted to be a Gladiator?
It was in Athletics Weekly that certain athletes could potentially be Gladiators and people were joking around telling me to go for it. I didn't want to because I'm training for the Olympics and working on other projects, but everyone kept talking about it so I decided to give it a go. I went for the audition, got a call back and here I am. It's really exciting.
What are your memories of the original series of Gladiators?
I always remember John Anderson; I've worked with him previously in decathlon training - he's brilliant, he put a metre and a half onto my shot put from advice he gave me in an airport.
What can the audience expect from Predator?
I will be ruthless towards the Contenders and although I'm the smallest of the male Gladiators they won't want to come up against me.
Do you have any words of warning for the Contenders?
I'm fast. Speed is my game and they won't be able to get away from me.
Which events are you most looking forward to?
I've competed in many different sports and my strength is versatility, so I'm ready for anything.
If you were an animal what would you be?
I'm fast like a cheetah and I love dolphins, so probably a mixture of two.
